FAQ

 

Hand Assembled 
All of our fixtures are hand assembled in our Los Angeles studio. All of our domes, socket cups, and shades are hand spun in Los Angeles. Because of this each fixture is truly unique and may vary slightly from one fixture to the next. You may notice slight blemishes or imperfections in the components from the manufacturing process. This is unavoidable; however, we do our best to match a fixtures components and its finishes to the best of our ability. Before each fixture ships out we make sure that it is something that we would be both happy and proud to install in our own home.  

 

Out of Stock Items
If you are not able to add an item or the desired quantities to your cart then we are likely out of stock on that particular item/size. Our inventory is updated automatically on our site and our stock levels are constantly changing. Please email us and let us know what product and size you aren't able to add to your cart and we can let you know our estimated restocking date. 

 

Lead Times
Normal production lead times are noted on each product page and is separate from the time it takes to ship the package. All of our products are made to order and production lead times can change daily due to order volume, our machining schedule and finishing lead times. Please note that holidays are not factored into our lead times. Please allow for a few extra days if a holiday falls within your products general lead time. Due to Covid and current supply chain issues some orders are taking a bit longer to produce than others. Please email us at info@parkstudiola.com prior to ordering with any questions on timing. 

 

Custom Fixtures
Please contact us if your fixture needs a different length/width/height that is not a standard option and we will get you pricing. We can also accommodate hang straight for vaulted ceilings, E27 or E14 sockets or different finishes if we know before you place your order. All of these changes can affect the price and lead time of the fixture so please email us before ordering. 

 

Custom Hardware
We are usually able to customize any hardware that we produce. Customizations can include adjusting the length, with, clearance, projection, mounting hole locations etc. Any change. could affect the price and lead time so please email us so we can figure out the details ahead of time. 

 

Finishes
Most of our fixtures are available in a unlacquered brass, flat black (anodized or ceramic), brushed aluminum, and a white ceramic coating. All of our brass is unlacquered and will develop a rich, beautiful patina as the metal matures with age and use. We can match most custom colors if provided a RAL number. 

 

 

Cleaning 
Flat Black — All of our flat black pieces are anodized and can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a clean, soft cloth. 
Brushed Brass — All of the brass is unlacquered, which means it will develop a natural patina as the metal matures with age and use. Handling the brass often will increase the rate and amount of patina. To bring the brass back to it original appearance we recommend using Bar Keepers Friend to clean our brass products. BKF can be purchased online or from most Home Depot or Lowes stores. If you want to sanitize your brass we recommend using warm water, dish soap, and a clean soft rag. Do not use abrasive cleaners or course pads since they will scratch and damage the brass surface.

Are your fixtures dimmable?
Lights bulbs are the determining factor on whether an incandescent fixture is able to dim or not. Most incandescent bulbs are dimmable including any bulbs that we include with our fixtures. Some CFL or LED bulbs are not. Please check the package on the bulbs you plan to use to make sure they are compatible with the type of dimmer you use. Most any incandescent 120V dimmer will work. 

 

Bulbs
Bulbs are not always included in our listings. Please review listing details to see if your fixture comes with bulbs or not. Please use 60W Max bulbs in our fixtures. 

 

Damaged products, returns and exchanges 
If an item is damaged during transit you must send us detailed photos of the outside of the box, packing material, and detailed photos of the damaged product within 48 hours of delivery so we can file the necessary claims form with our carrier. Hardware must be unopened and must still be in the clear sleeves. Light fixtures cannot be returned or exchanged once installed.  Buyer must keep all packing material till the claim is resolved so we can coordinate a return shipment of the damaged items

 

Cancellations
Any order that has not yet gone into production will be refunded the total purchase price minus a 5% credit card fee. If we have begun building your order then we will charge a 20% restocking fee in addition to the 5% credit card fee. 

 

Trade discounts

Discount Codes
If you have a trade account with us then you will have access to our trade discount codes that you received in your account activation email. You will need to enter these codes at checkout in order to receive your trade discount. If you intend on purchasing both lighting and hardware in the same order you will need to follow the steps below in order to activate both discount codes on the same order:
1- sign into your account on our site
2- add all items to your cart
3- when the last item is added, please select the VIEW CART tab from the bottom of the page
4- copy and paste both discount codes separated by a comma into the blue box then hit apply 
5 - proceed to checkout and complete your order

 

Certification
All of our fixtures are UL certified for either surface mounted or portable (plug-in) installations in the US and Canada. All of our surface mounted fixtures are covered under UL E475910. Damp listings are available upon request. Most of our fixtures are also CE certified as well with an IP20 rating. 
 
Shipping
We ship all hardware orders and most light fixtures via FedEx ground or Express. Because of this we DO NOT SHIP TO PO BOXES. Larger orders or oversized custom fixtures that require freight will be billed separately. Shipping speed is separate from the production lead time so please. 

 

International Shipping
All international orders will ship via FedEx international or DHL. Please note that the cost of shipping does NOT include any duties, taxes, or import fee's. Any such fee's would be billed to the recipient by FedEx or DHL prior to delivery being made. 

 

Returned packages
If an order is returned to Park Studio due to an incorrect shipping address (provided by a customer), or the carrier returning the package(s) due to maxing out their delivery attempts, the customer will be responsible for any return shipping costs as well as the full amount due to redeliver the package(s). These fee's will need to be paid for prior to Park Studio re-shipping any package(s). Park Studio is not responsible for packages delivered incorrectly or lost due to incorrect shipping information provided by a customer.

 

Freight shipping
Some larger orders will be shipped via LTL Freight at Park Studio's discretion. Freight fee's are not included in the listed price of an item and will be charged separately from the main order.  

  

Tracking info
All orders will receive an "Order Shipped" email from Park Studio that contains the final invoice as well as tracking info. This is an automated email and will be sent to the email that the buyer submits during their order. 

  

Expediting an order
If you need an order expedited please email us prior to ordering so we can look over our production and shipping schedule and let you know if we can accommodate. A percentage of the order cost may be charged for certain orders which we will disclose ahead of time. Trade discounts are not permitted on expedited orders.
